Zara Fae is back and vows to tear down Everest's walls and bring the rest of the stolen children home. But danger lurks behind every corner even inside Copper Canyon and worse yet, the canyon's Matriarch is out for Zara's blood.

Copper Canyon Excerpt
Zara stood with her arms crossed, wearing faded blue jeans, a pair of black boots, and the knife and leather jacket Abe had given her as she waited for the last of the Rage Riders to assemble.
Raider stood at her side in the front of the room just to the left of Ivar.
The final rider closed the door behind him, and Ivar shouted for silence.
“Our time’s up. Everest has stolen the last life from our canyon. Tomorrow we strike. I need every rider ready to leave at dawn’s first light.” Ivar began to pace the rocky floor as he gave out orders.
“Be prepared to be gone for a few days. We will recon the surrounding area around Everest and get in touch with our contacts inside the walls. Victor, Nola will bring the LMTV to the mine doors in one hour. Have it loaded and ready by midnight. Raider, you, and your unit can help him,” Ivar instructed.
Zara flinched when she heard Ivar talk about his contacts inside Everest. She didn’t know why it bothered her so much; Everest was her enemy now too. It must be from the years of brainwashing she’d endured. She shoved the feelings to the deepest part of her soul and ignored them.
Raider muttered a curse but kept his thoughts to himself until he could get Ivar alone.
Ivar sent the riders off to get ready, and Raider stepped forward.
"Why am I being punished?” he ground out.
Ivar rolled his eyes and muttered, “Save me from this fucking petty bullshit.” He glowered at Raider and gave his answer. “I don’t trust Victor, and I need eyes on him. Eyes I do trust, and that means you and your crew. Now, if that’s all, get your asses moving before Victor pulls some fucking bullshit we can’t recover from.”
Zara could see the wisdom in Ivar’s words and went to hurry after Raider, but Ivar stopped her.
“You need to survive this war, Zara. You are our people’s hope as the future Matriarch. We need you to rid our canyon of Grandmother and be a better leader,” he smiled grimly.
